I know we will be the odd-out. We used to drive day and night. DW (Mary) would drive most of daylight while I did navigation chores and after dark, I would always drive because she didn't trust her night vision. We used to put in 800+ mile days too. We don't have to do this anymore and try to avoid it and did only one long pull this last year. I don't miss it. We do have one coming up, where I will probably be driving alone at night and that is just the fall of the straws. It will only be a few hundred miles.
Where? All over. We try to avoid the megopolis(megopolii?) at rush hour, that is what often forces the night running. We had dinner at a rest area and had to push on to make an arrival on schedule.
