Dual Axle Leveling help

I've got a 1998 Dutchmen Aristocrat travel tailer with dual axles. I've done a lot of research and searching but am still undecided on what to make or buy to allow me to level it. I'm just nervous about what I can fit in between the two tires. I've considered the Anderson 3604 Levelers but have read a number of reviews about them breaking and also sliding. Plus, they are rather expensive. I've considered cutting some 2x6's but again, I'm concerned about not having much room between the tires. I've also considered the BAL 28050 tire leveler but it says it's made only for single axles and it's also pretty expensive. I need suggestions on what I should do. Thanks.
  • I keep about 10- 2 foot lengths of 2X8s and same number of 2X4s. This allows me to build what I need to level by stacking the boards stair step fashion and then pull the trailer on top of the stack. By stair stepping the stack they stay in place as the tires roll up on them.

Note: I use the 2X8s as the top layer to provide a big enough pad for each tire.
