I guess the thing that I find off-putting is when I first unscrew the cap from the blackwater valve. On both of the RVs I've rented in the past there's always been about 1 or 2 cups of blue water that pour out all over my hands even with the valve tightly closed. Yech! And there I am trying to hold the dump hose underneath so that it pours into the hose instead of onto the pad.
These are good suggestions, and maybe after a few more times RVing I'll have the stomach to do it gloveless. To tell the truth, I may as well have done it gloveless considering how much blue I've gotten on my hands despite my best attempts otherwise!
