Have never heard of nitril gloves,
Nitrile.
Years ago doctor's offices and hospitals used latex gloves. Many doctors and nurses developed an allergy to latex. This allergy can be severe enough to be career ending and death by anaphylaxis. This brought about a search for a replacement material to make medical gloves. Vinyl gloves have been around for a while but they are not stretchy and so do not fit well enough to give the medical people the tactile feel they need. Nitrile was then developed and has largely replaced latex in the medical glove field. Latex is still sold and is cheap. Nitrile costs a little more but is much less likely to cause an allergy among frequent users.
