Holy crop if it ever took me 23 minutes to dump I would stop camping. If black tank is fairly full all that flushing IS UNNECESSARY. The water pressure during the dump will pretty well flush the debris out. Add some toilet chemical. Good to go.

But really that is why I ask.
Simply pulling the black tank valve does not flush it all - did this with the tank 2/3 full. When rinsing there was a considerable amount left in the tank. That is why I spent so much time rinsing.
I'm getting the feeling that putting some water back in the tank for the drive home my be what is needed to rinse internally, and just dump it the next time out...
