I don't need a spotless black tank either but I also do not want a pit toilet in my trailer.
What size and frequency of clumps are acceptable?
When I rinse(by squirting a hand held sprayer up the dump valve), a lot of times when I think it is clean enough, another sizeable clump comes out and I keep going...
Rapidly Dump a 5 gal bucket of water down the toilet after emptying the tank and you'll flush all the clumps out. Spraying up the open dump valve is just plain nasty. Not to mention the mess you're making around the dump station site.
