I have been with or without the toad..I keep the transponder in the rv. Make sure all your vehicles are listed on the website. I have four transponders, one rv, two toads and six vehicles. I never know what transponder is in what vehicle. I just make sure that there aren't two in the same vehicles and let ez pass figure out the rest. Never had an issue in 7 years.
