Electrical tools to take ?

FWIW, I disagree... Even if you don't know how to use it, someone may come along to help that does know how to use it but does not have the tools with them.

Usually a test light, digital multi-meter, wire strippers, and an assortment of connectors and fuses will typically get you out of most problems.

I carry a DMM, 12v test lamp with long probe, crimp terminals and crimpers, three or four pairs of pliers and strippers, screwdrivers, channelocks and of course my Buck pen knife. There are several other tools that fill out the toolbox but serve many purposes like my claw hammer.

I also carry a lot more electrical supplies than necessary, terminals, wire, etc.

Tools.. Well in addition to the normal "every day" tools, (Knifes, cutters and pliars and screwdrivers)

Multi-meters (I have several) including a clamp on AC/DC ammeter.

Test lamps, both 12 and 120 volt,, again, nature of me is to have multiple and different sizes.

Electrical tape, sealant and connectors and in some cases special tools for dealign with the connectors (This last is optional but necessary in my life).

I have a few more things too but... Well.. I'm a certified electronics technician and a licensed ham radio operator.. Most folks do not need get as "into" electronics repair as I do.

Multimeter, AC/DC clamp-on ammeter, 12v test light, soldering iron, solder, battery charger, electrical tape, heat shrink tubing, assorted fuses, spare lights and assorted screwdrivers, wire cutters and pliers.

Along with extra fuses of each amperage this is pretty much my list.

x3, and I carry a 12V test light with probe too, though I use the multimeter more.

Electric drill with a set of drill bits (which I'll never use). But want the drill (just in case) I ever have issues with my slides.

I carry a roll of black electrical tape, pliers/wire cutters and a few hand tools, that will fit in a small tool box. Anything more, and I'll just call a tow truck!
