I have an Extend-A-Flow, which is almost identical to an Extend-A-Stay, I use it to run my grill, or you can use it to run the RV off an external, (20lb or any other)tank. Came with a 12' hose to get it a little ways from the RV.
The difference between the Extend-a-flow and the Extend-a-stay is that you can NOT use the Extend-a-Flow to run your RV off a portable tank, , it is designed for trailers that already have portable tanks.
You not only Can, but I have on several occasions, the difference is, the Extend-A-Stay has a specific inlet for the hose from your portable tank, and you can run your grill or other accessories at the same time, With the Extend-A-Flow, once you hook up your portable tank, you can't run anything else off of it.
I had one on my TT, now have a motor home and put the Extend-a-stay on it dang near day 1.
