I wouldn't worry about using a "wrong" hose particularly if fresh water is run through it first to displace any water that has been sitting for awhile.
There is some soundness to getting an additional proper fresh water hose, though; if you can't reach your house's hose tap, there's a good chance you'll sooner or later find a campground where the water tap is equally as far away. There's also a good chance that at some point your main fresh water hose will spring a leak, and somehow that seems more likely to happen when you're far from a store to get a replacement and don't have a backup handy. Thus, by my thinking at least, buying an additional fresh water hose tends to substantially increase the life of your current hose. :B
