Just flush it good first. Like it was said, the problem is when water sits in the hose for days and leeches stuff out of the rubber. Somes makes it taste funny. "Drinking Water" hoses are supposed to be made of stuff that is OK, but I still flush mine first before filling or connecting. Akso, a flush helps clear any crud that might be in the campground water system.
