I like the Coachmen Freedom Express 231RBDS layout. I was showing my wife some similar models but she wants a dinette plus sofa.
Many do but that inherently means a longer, heavier trailer. A Murphy bed which serves as a bed at night that converts to a sofa during the day is viewed by some as a solution to this but it comes at the expense of little cargo storage compared to a conventional TT design in which there's almost always a large pass through storage compartment at the front of the trailer. In our case we went the opposite direction by choosing a trailer with
no dinette because we most often eat outside anyway and instead have a much more useful sofa, even use it for seating when we occasionally do want to eat inside by using a pair of portable TV tables. Our current Coachmen Freedom Express 192RBS works fine for just the two of us but if we were to do it again that 231RBDS would be at the top of our list because the way the dinette is designed it can also serve as a sofa by simply removing the table
or with the table as a generously sized bed at night for those occasional times one of sons may join us for camping.
A FWIW an observation about slides ....
Some manufacturers will choose to use a slide mechanism that requires the slide floor itself to be elevated above the trailer's main floor while others will use a system that allows the slide floor to sit flush with the main floor. I personally intensely dislike those that are elevated as it makes me feel like a mannequin on display whereas a floor flush system becomes just an extension of the main floor. This wouldn't necessarily bother others but an elevated slide floor for me would be a deal breaker.
