Apples and oranges for summer and winter. In winter you need about one battery per 24 hr day to get by. (furnace and lights) You cannot extrapolate summer experience into winter battery usage.
You are not required to live like in a tent or even without a tent. This is not a "downed pilot's survival course".
We can do it all off grid: run the microwave, watch tv, etc. We have a 2000w inverter and 450AH of battery. No solar in winter sky. We have a generator and a charger. We can recharge enough during "generator hours" to get by just fine. Means enough gen to run the charger and enough charger, and enough battery bank.
How much is enough? "It depends".
