First time traveling through Colorado and freezing temps

So we're from Florida and passing through Colorado to get to Wyoming for a winter vacation, I've been told that the roads might be bad in Colorado and covered in ice/snow? Does anyone here have any ex...

It would be helpful if you posted your route. I-80 or I-90?
We are halfway between Powell and Cody, WY and we are at 5000 ft. the Temp today was about 15F and suspect 0F tonight. Most of the highways are clear, but it is chilly. If you are on i-80 you would have much colder temps.

If you are on I-90 you could run into high winds east of Bozeman, MT. If you are on I-80 you can run into high winds east of Rawlins, WY
