First time traveling through Colorado and freezing temps

I do see your route 13/789 entering I-80 in WY west of Rawlins. Since you are west bound when you get to I-80 there is a good fuel stop at the Pilot station in Rock Springs just off the I-80. Just watch for winds on I-80. Also watch for black ice on 13/789 entering WY from the south. Near I-80 the high today was about 10 degrees. If luck holds you may beat this next storm except as you enter Utah. I-80 does a steep down grade into Salt Lake.
