first trip is 6 days away

DW and granddaughter are spending the night in our TT as a dry run in preparation for our first real trip next week. She has packed every imaginable thing in there. Any suggestions to make our first trip a good one?
  • My suggestion would be to take along a pen and tablet. Odds are you have loaded items you’ll have little use for and forgotten items you could use. Or other issues may pop up and it’s a big help to record them while they’re fresh.
  • Also, know your carrying capacity limitations...don't overpack and be overweight!
  • A dry run is a good idea. Don't try to fill every open space with items you may never need. After our first two trips, we discovered we needed to add a few things but nothing major. Rome wasn't built in a day.

    Have fun and be safe!
  • No matter how it goes, what occurs, it's all part of the experience.
Relax. Enjoy. And appreciate all the ways in which your trip unfolds.
    Safe travels.
  • Welcome to the forum.
Relax and have fun. Camping near a Wal-mart is helpful in case you forgot anything.
After 3 trips look at all the stuff you have and decide what you don't need.
  • Enjoy!!! Had a great time with a couple of my granddaughters camping and building memories at Cherrystone a few weeks ago.
