re: Quartzsite. You will either love Quartzsite or you will hate it. We live in the winter 2 hours north of Quartzsite since 2008 and have been to Quartzsite numerous times. I would not make Quartzsite a destination for new RVers heading south. There are far too many other destinations in AZ offering amenities that you will not find in Q. We just drove thru Q last week heading north from Yuma; we did not stop nor did we slow down. What Q does offer is a cheap place to stay. There is an annual RV show that you might want to attend but that's about it.
Read other forums about winter destinations. Yes, they may cost more but they offer so much more as well. I am sure that I have hurt the feelings of pro-Q members but there are other con-Q members as well. Whatever you decide...Good Luck and Drive Safe.
