Food Storage
We're new to the TT world, having spent the last 16 years enjoying popup camping. With all our new possibilities come some new questions. Here's one: now that we CAN keep things stored in the camp...

Food comes in 3 "flavors" for this discussion:
Some foods are packaged in such a way that they can easily keep for several years (Think of a Star Trek TOS episode where they land on a planet where all the adults have been killed off and the per-pubsent children are like 300 years old. They are still eating Canned goods that the adults had layed up.. Food packaging is not quite that good ... yet).
Some food keeps well.. for a while (say 2 weeks or a month
Some spoils quickly if not refrigerated.
The solution is to rotate the food so Try to keep it "Fresh" as possible.
I too like the idea of keeping the pantry as well stocked as possible.. you never know when you need to jump and run as it were.. After all
Where is the best place to shelter from a Hurricane
A: Underground
B: Outdoors above ground
C: indoors above ground
D: IN a shelter outside the storm area (DING DING DING DING)
With a motor home or Trailer.. you have your shelter,, GET OUT OF DODGE.
(Also applies to many other natural, and man made, disasters).
