Nothing in 3 pages of discussion has changed my mind - I'll continue to always remove any food from our camper during periods of non-use as it's just too hot in there with interior temps often well into the mid 90s. Out of curiosity I Googled
"rules for canned food storage" and came up with 8,890,000 "results" :E ... from
this example ...
"Temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit are harmful to canned foods. The risk of spoilage jumps sharply as storage temperatures rise. At prolonged storage temperatures above 75 degrees, nutrient loss in canned foods increases."... and ...
"Store in a cool, clean, dry place where temperatures are below 85 degrees (between 50-70 degrees is good) but not freezing temperatures."Only in early spring and late fall is the interior of my camper between 50-70 degrees F so although the many pundits here on the forum see no issue with storing canned food in a hot camper for extended periods of time I think I'll go with those who
really know what they're talking about. :W
