For once my big mouth comes in handy... Awning

The best thing I did to my Carefree awning, was get rid of the spring and convert it to a crank type. Much easier for one person to work the large awning and it never gets away from me and rolls the pull strap up in itself. (I don't have the pull strap anymore). The install guy spent more time centering my awning and straightening out the slanted arm than he did making the actual conversion. And it was done onsite at a rally I was attending. Some of the best money I have spent on my TT.
