Fresh Water Tank Treatments

How do I keep the water "sanitized" and usable (for non-drinking) in between monthly 2 day trips to the beach, keys, cape etc.? A low dose of chlorine? Other product out there for this purpose?

We live in south Florida so the tank will be above 70 degrees for the summer season.

drain it after each trip. It is a "storage" tank, a Petrie dish for bacteria. And depending where your tank I'd it will take on the ambient temp of the outside air. And in the hot Florida temps bacteria will multiply. I do not drink the water from the tank either.
