One advantage to paint that I did not mention in my former post was black streaks. Or lack thereof. White shows black streaks and will only get worse as the unit ages making it harder to remove them. With paint they are less noticeable if at all. Is it worth the money? Wasn't to my wife. Of course she doesn't have to wash it. :)
In my opinion paint generally looks nicer. That's probably the largest benefit - aesthetics. Again, DW had her own opinion. Done right, white units with nice colors and designs look good - like the pictures you have, I like the white one better, nice color scheme.
