Hi GordonThree,
Grand Rapids has an average monthly Global Horizontal Irradiance (GHI) of 3.79 kilowatt hours per square meter per day (kWh/m2/day), which is approximately 4% greater than the average monthly Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI) of 3.65 kWh/m2/day.
This is better than Minot ND which is about 200 miles south of where I live. I do believe in solar!

I don't believe in solar. The insolation is very low in my area and the weather not very cooperative. Gasoline works day or night, rain or shine.
