Good RV dealers in Florida

Hi all. We are planning on full time living in a fifth wheel in Florida. We just got back from a week long trip and picked out the "resort" where we want to stay. We also went to a few dealers, actually quite a few dealers. Holly ****. I've never met so many "professional" salesman that knew sooo little about what they are selling. We have been researching quite a few fifth wheels on you tube, the internet and local dealers. I was teaching them about their RV's. It doesn't instill a lot of confidence in me buying one from them. We are going to be living in the Daytona area but I am willing to go anywhere to buy it. Anyone know of any decent dealers I can trust in Florida? We are going to the Hershey RV show in September to pick out the fifth wheel but are leaning towards Jayco if this helps.

    Try giant recreational world. 3 locations. Locally owned. Have not bought but have rented from them. The winter garden store has a good sized indoor showroom but they are not a jayco dealer. Good luck.

    Thanks YnotTurbo. I called them and they are giving me a quote on the two models we are considering. They seem nice and helpful. I talked to Scott who seemed to know more than most salesman we have talked to so far. Thanks again.

    Thanks everyone. I found a Jayco dealer in New jersey near me. They have the model we want, which is a 2016, at a price better than a "lesser' 2015 model we looked at in Florida. They seem to be pretty good. Good reviews. We may have it shipped down if we do decide on this model. But another question. Getting warranty work done from a dealer you didn't buy the RV from. Do you think that would be a problem? Its gonna be 1200 miles to the dealer. Are there mobile RV techs that come out and do warranty work?

    Take it from me - personal experience - STAY AWAY from CW in Tampa. Trust me on this!!!!! We bought from them - never again if they were the last one standing. As to nationwide system for shops - hit and miss. CW in Bartow has a horrible service department. We've been to Chattanooga CW that seemed to have a decent one for what we needed. I've read about others in the nation that people had success with, but I've also read about just as many with horror stories.

    I know Camping World doesn't get much love here for some reason, but when we were in the market for our MH, the CW dealer in Central Florida was great to deal with. We ended up at MCClain's RV in Denton, Texas because for some reason, CW does not sell RVs in North Texas. Also, if you buy at CW, you have a nationwide system of shops for warranty work, which is critically important. Cheers, Mike

    Our son recently bought a used fiver from Highway RV in Lake Alfred (near Winter Haven). We were impressed with the way they treated him. It's a really small outfit, so don't know if they'll have what you're looking for.
