EXTREMELY bad advice. Scenario 1: Someone tries to break into your MH and you shoot them. In MA you are going to jail. Scenario 2: Someone sees the firearm and the police get called. In MA you are going to jail.
If the plan is to have it for a purpose (hunting, self-defense) then you must abide by each state's laws (including "pass through" laws). If the plan is to have it just to have it, leave it home.
There is no reciprocity in Massachusetts. You must have an out-of-state permit with a few exceptions such as traveling through for a purpose. However, I'd be extremely cautious when possessing a firearm in this state. It is not the most firearm-friendly state in the country.
