Not quite true, the CHP will only know if you have a California CCP. They will not know if you have a Wa. state or any other state's CCP. they simply don't share that info between states.
Wa. state troopers don't even have that info. they only know of your convection record.
When I was a dispatcher out of state CCPs showed and I immediately notified the officer. WA may be different.
What states showed ?
My best customer is a city policeman, and my neighbor is a State Trooper, neither can see my CCP in their cruiser computer, which was issued by my Chief of police here in Oak Harbor. I've had them run my license number and watched what they got, that was, my driving record, and they must run my license to get that. They can see if I have any outstanding wants or warrants Both LEOs have the new state of the art Ford explorers built as police cruisers which have internet wifi service built in.
Best advice they give is simply this, answer their questions and don't babble, don't tell them anything they don't want to know. It causes them paper work and you a lot of problems.
and remember they can not enter your RV with out a search warrant or an invitation. they will only get a warrant when they see the need.
store your weapon in a secure place out of site, and shut up about it. Don't go.... hey look what I got... that'll get you shot.
Don't put a decal on your door that says this coach is protected by Smith and Wesson. that will get you asked about it. and all the problems that go with that.
