they must have probable cause to search. don't give them one.
Assuming the main reason for bringing said firearm is for protection, it's not going to do a whole lot of good if you aren't going to use it to avoid "detection". It's not usually the gun owner who gives probable cause but if you DO use it you could potentially be in a huge amount of trouble.

The whole purpose of the CC is that no one will know you have one. So Yes I keep it hidden, and will always. You will NEVER know I have it. UNTIL it is needed.
As for the rest of your post. It is dead on.

Don't advertise you have a gun, yes many owners have discussions with other owners.
