Not only is he going to need a TON of batteries, he's going to have to cover every square inch of his roof with solar panels in order to recharge them. And if he's not using solar, if he plans to recharge them with a generator, he'd have to run it all day to recharge them, so he might as well just run the a/c directly off the generator anyway.
