4 gauge from vehicle battery to inverter (2 meters) and a separate set of 4 gauge cables from vehicle battery to battery bank in truck bed (3 meters). The power wire from the alternator to the battery is smaller (maybe 6 or 8 gauge?) but I assumed that GM would not have used a wire that was too small carry the alternators output.
