I am by no means an expert on the subject of battery powered devices, but after reading the responses, common sense tells me the most reliable, cost effective way to run the ac is with the appropriate generator. If running an ac with battery power was the best way to go, then rv manufacturers would equip their products with larger inverters and batteries rather than generators.
