I have not used headsets though I had a vox-operated headest for one of my two way hand helds (Actually it works with 3 of 'em but my wife is not licensed for the other two) I may some day get another.
Have used cells and push to talk
Recommend both.. Where it works I put my cell in the cup holder, call wife, put on speaker and we talk
Where it did not work,,, Hand held push to talk 2 ways.
Alas. now days I park it myself.
