I've been staying on Walmart parking lots wherever I travel in the U.S. for 30 years in my RVs. There's a lot of false information being written here by some. The number #1 fallacy beiong written by others that read over and over again is that you have to ask permission of the Walmart manager before spending the night. Just pull in, shut it down and go to sleep. Enjoy your travels!
obviously, you haven't done this in California, because it's against city ordinances in nearly every California town Walmart is in. you can find a handful of them, in isolated regions here that might.
do people do it illegally here? sure they do but it's a******shoot. many will wake up with a ticket on their door here or a cop will pound on their door to tell them they have to move.
