Wow. There are some amazing places in the area that you all will never get to experience. But, if you all don't go to the state and national parks, that leaves more room for me. ;)
A couple of places in the area you can try, full hook-up included: Elk Neck State Park and Point Lookout State Park. Both have great kids-play areas and are on the bay. Maybe if they get a taste of State Park camping, they might be willing to try a little more 'rustic' accommodations. Honestly though, you can't consider yourself a camper in MD without spending a night at Assateague. The state park has some electric sites, but you must reserve early or go during the shoulder seasons.
