bout2buy I agree with you. They are missing out on a lot of great places by requiring full hook ups. Managing the water with a family does have a learning curve,but you are only talking a weekend.
State Parks and electric only sites open up a another whole world of camping opportunities.
Don't give up somehow you're going to have to up the ante to get the entire group to participate. Maybe agree to cook for everyone one night or supply the adult beverages or whatever. Get them to at least try it once and if they don't like it promise you won't bring it up again
