If you are so into cars, then I am going to make the (possibly rash) assumption that you are literate. That being the case, with whatever RV you settle on, get and read the instructions. If it does not come with much, do a websearch and find what you do not have.
When you have an RV, find the owner's group. Not that we won't try to be all the help we can, but we get some interesting questions here....
And last, maintenance counts for at least as much with an RV as for a passcar. If it is self-propelled, maintenance is even more of an issue because you will not run it as much and that just is not good.
