"If you only have a 40 gal fresh, how are you going to put 80 gal in the gray and 40 gal in the black? That's strange."
There is a recent thread on this forum about using various methods to refill the fresh water tank when you run out.
I've camped at a COE CG with 50A electricity and no water connection available. We filled the FW tank as we pulled in, and every five days (were there 22 days in 'non-peak' fall) - I took my 40 gallon pillow tank over to the water fill - put it on top of the truck cab - filled it with fresh water and drove over to the TT and filled the water tank by gravity drain.
I understand many boondockers will also refill their fresh water to stay longer if they have sufficient black and gray tankage. (I had to use my sewer tote a lot).
There was even a thread on this forum recently about moving some of the gray water to the black water tank to extend a stay at a boondocking site.
