However, the OP asked: "Is there any way to do this" and I think there may be some things that can be answered on how it could be done:
1) Use a good accurate measuring device (tape measure comes to mind).
2) Learn how to back a trailer. (I'm being a bit tough with this comment, but since he HAD a 28 TT previously, did he have an extra 10 feet? 20 feet? of "the open space across the street" that he alluded to when he backed or did he require every last inch of maneuvering space when he backed in or pulled out?) I would hope that someone who has been driving a trailer for a while might know if he had "nothing to spare" or had "10 or 20" feet to spare.
