On my last trip, I was having trouble keeping my Camco leveling blocks from sliding on the blacktop as I was driving my trailer tires up onto them. (I've only used them on gravel sites in the past.) I eventually had to resort to having my wife pull the truck forward while I put my foot onto the front edge of the blocks until the trailer tire began to come up onto the blocks. My wife typically doesn't want any involvement in getting the TT level. Is there a trick to keeping the blocks from sliding? (The blocks also shot out from under the tire when pulling off of them when getting ready to leavethe site)

I found that Lynx leveling blocks are the best. I have used them in several RVs and have never had them slip. Some yellow ones I had (Camco?) broke more easily, too.

Could you take a rubber hammer and give them a tap to get them tightened up against the tire before pulling up on them?

I'm sure you know this, but the stack has to be gradually tapered--you can't just drive up on two or three blocks at a time.

Agree with Mockturtle. No problem on pavement with Lynx blocks when going up one step at a time. Trying to go up onto a two block high step usually slides the blocks when on pavement. Avoiding this issue was one reason I bought an additional set of blocks.

Agree with clouddriver, & I interlock them as I stack them.

How do you keep plastic leveling blocks from slipping?

on wheels I use Anderson Levelers,
and I have bolted one "leveling lego plastic" to each leveling jack.
Never had a problem.

Never had an issue with them before. We have 3 sets of the Lynx levelers and have had to use all 3 sets before.

For leveling I use plywood, I made the pieces large enough that the whole tire fits on the wood just as it would if it were on the ground. I have three pieces, two are screwed together (1/2 inch plywood), and one is separate. This allows me to have three heights (1/2, 1, and 1 1/2 inches). Where I store my camper I must use all three to get the TT level side-to-side, I have electric where I store it so I keep the fridge on all the time which must be leveled. The "lego" blocks I use under the four corner leveling jacks.

Setting blocks on an old piece of carpet will keep them in place.

Read a good tip somewhere, maybe in a magazine. Tip was to attach a rope to block--drill a hole in side or something. Tires would drive on top of rope and then the block. The block would not move as held in place by the rope with tire/vehicle on top of rope.

I had this issue with my plastic ramps on my class c. It only happened on the front tires, never on the back. I was told and shown that placing a 3/4" piece of wood in front of the ramp kept the ramp from sliding. I cut a 2' long piece from a couple of old cedar fence boards and haven't had an issue since. As it was explained to me, it had to do with them not being the drive wheels so that would include TT tires as well.

Don't doubt me, just try it.

I added some non slip tape to 4 of the 20 Lynx levelers I have.
