Leveling

I was just wondering if anybody has any better Solutions for leveling a class c? I am on a very unlevel area where I am parked and I live full-time in my R. V. Im using those plastic levelers and it is really difficult to use because 3 of 4 sides are different heights. I don't know if anybody has any other suggestions that might help. I want to find a way to make it easier to do and a little more secure than what I have now.

  • If you’re living in a C on the side of a hill I’d suggest scrap lumber. From your description it may be a couple hundo in lumber but scrap wood is “everywhere”.
you didn’t say if your home actually runs well and gets driven regularly but if it doesn’t, then building some 2x4 cribbing for each corner and jacking the rig up and setting it on the cribbing assuming you have a suitable jack, would take the least amount and smallest size lumber.

Thank you! I am in more like a gated lot on a private property and it was built to have water run down hill. But its asphalt and I do use it pretty regularly, its a newer one. I did consider using wood. It seems like it would make more sense.  Thank you for your input

Impossible to tell how much you’d need to lift it or which end since you didn’t provide a slope or wheelbase.
Those are the 2 things you need to know to determine best path forward.
Different story if you’re lifting one end 4” or a foot n a half.

  • go to a lumber supply place, get some 2x10 pressure treated boards cut up to different lengths and use them to level.  for my 5th wheel I have 4, 3.5, 3, 2.5 and 2 feet lengths so when I stack them for hight they make their own ramp and using a full set they will give me a  9" ish lift.

Adds up to a bunch of weight if you travel but there aren’t alternatives.

ya, I put them on the floor of my truck when I am using the truck camper and in the storage on my 5th wheel.  realy the plastic ones are expensive as heck, around 50 bucks for enough to do one wheel so its 100 bucks of thoes and I only get the capability to level about 4 inches on each side, or 40 bucks to be able to do 9" on each side.  I also do a bunch of 8"x8" for putting under the jacks on the 5th wheel when they get old, I just cut some new ones.
