How do you keep plastic leveling blocks from slipping?

I use rubber horse mat sheets I get at Tractor supply in 3/4 thick and cut them with a box cutter tire wide in strips. You can put the blocks on them and that will stop the slippage or you can stack them and use as to level without the blocks. Only downside is they are heavy but so easy to use.
