How limiting are the longer RVs?

We still camp at all of our favorite campgrounds, but have had to use some different spots that will allow for the longer length in addition to allowing space for the second slide out. There has only been one time that the length really messed us up. We went to a Corps campground and reserved a site unseen because the dimensions said we could fit. Well the site was long enough but due to trees on both sides of the road and narrow site I didnt have room to maneuver. I actually had to unhook my truck half way through and reposition it then hook back up to get it the rest of the way in. Had to do the same leaving. Didnt ruin the trip by any means but the length did matter this time. Trade off was when it rained all day the next day we had plenty of room
