Thanks! Actually I did a few searches - and I am sorry if I missed 100 other threads just like this one. Buy the essentials. Nice long sewer hose and drinking hose. Surge and pressure protection.

Camp some and make a list of what you NEED and what you'd LIKE. Buy stuff as you go.

We went crazy with our first and ended up with a lot of wasted junk.

I have 2, 10 foot sections of sewer hose. I usually only need one unless I misjudge the drain at the dump station.

Wtaer hos I keep 150 feet and use every bit of it every time we go. This year I switched to that green pocket hose that shrinks up to nothing when you turn off the water. It takes a few extra minutes to fill the tank with it due to water volume capability of the hose but I can fit 150 feet in a 2 gallon pail.

I also keep a 20 foot garden hose for the black tank flush system to use at the dump station.

Slow down...take a deep breath...relax... Take it out on your maiden voyage and keep a list of what you'll need for next time.

Actually this is off the Topic - but since you mentioned it... I will say that what sold me on this dealer and not one much much closer to me was in part that this guy went out of his way to describe the PDI to me in great detail before I even had the chance to ask about it. Including filling the tanks and "exercising" all of the equipment and systems and a "warning" that it would take several hours.

And while I'm at it I will also mention that I knew about the PDI process and what to look for and demand because of all of the very knowledgable and kind folks on this site. You folks have really helped me feel much more prepared for this whole process and I really - really - really appreciate it!

This is not what you asked about but... When you do your walk through CHECK EVERYTHING! Stuff will be broken, missing, not what you ordered, not working properly etc. Video it as well for proof later. Put water in the tanks and check for leaks. Turn on the AC, the fridge, furnace & water heater. It should take a couple hours - don't let them rush you.

First camp hosting position we had we needed an extra water hose ran to local WalMart, haven't used it since. Third camp hosting position we needed extra long sewer hose ran to WalMart haven't used it since. Ran into several sites that we needed extra electric cord picked one up at Camping World.

A few others have said basically the same. I am trying to listen to this advise and go the less is more route. I just don't have the campground experience to know if I'd regularly need the extensions and extras.

Actually, I think the "don't get too much" advise has a lot of merit. I printed off about a dozen lists of "stuff you have to have", and hardly looked at the list after that. We got a lot of stuff, but I think, one should try as best you can to remove stuff you don't use in about two or three weekend trips. Of course things like an extra water hose or pressure regulator, you can easily carry for the twice a year you need them, but we have found that a lot of kitchen stuff just gets moved in, in spring and out in fall without ever being touched in between. Just sayin' it all adds up to weight. hth

We have the Rino and a ten foot extension that I've used once. Stayed at one camp ground that I needed more that 25' of water hose. On board water filter, but if not I would use the in line ones that attach to the hose.

A green outdoor carpet (10x15) that I bought / had cut at Home Depot when I bought the T.T. Easily transported even if wet in the truck bed.

You will probably always be within driving range of a Wal-mart / Dollar store, etc, so don't worry about it.

Most importantly ....ice cold beer and comfortable outside chairs.....lol
