Yeah, I guess my point wasn't that an owner doesn't have the right to run a business and that running incurs costs.
What I was getting at is how do prices translate into features and should you avoid certain campgrounds based on knowledge of the business model.
I wonder if a campground connected to a RV sales location is padding the sales/service operations with high nightly rates? Or heck is it the other way around?
I am not trying to call out a conspiracy here or anything. I just find the costs of things so super interesting.
Let's say I stay in a hotel for two nights over the weekend for my boys' swim meet. I often try to decide if I chose the "right" hotel. Did I spend money for amenities that I didn't use? Or did I go to cheap and have a bad nights sleep because the halls were loud?
Then I start to wonder about having the boys on the swim team in general. Does the roughly 100 dollars a month I give the team get the most benefit for my boys? Should I have pushed them to do Gymnastics year round? What about soccer or basketball? How do I know I made the right choice?
I'm not good with money, I tend to overspend and tack on to make myself feel better. So I spend a lot of time trying to understand my spending and choices.
