Here is a little different viewpoint.
Purchase a new RV in spring 2014 for $20,000
Camp for two weeks vacation and several weekends for a total of 20 nights
Spring 2015 the RV is now worth $14,000
Cost per night = $300
Kind of makes the $20 to $40 per night fees seem pretty inexpensive, doesn't it? :B
Not many people look at the true cost of our pleasures. Throw in the maintenance, the insurance, the depreciation, the interest on the loan, the storage, all of the other fixed costs & add them to your per day costs over & the food you would eat staying at home & those weekend jaunts of under $100 for CG fees & a bit of fuel add up to real $ real fast.
Might be a topic for another thread. What are your true daily costs? Most of us don't want to know. All I know is that the RVing is way cheaper than boating.
