Not sure what you plan to do with $500, plus some, a month. You will eat that much. campgrounds are going to be $20 to $30 per day.
Money aside, only you can decide what is best for you. The longer you are in it the smaller it gets. The smaller it is the faster it shrinks. We spend about 5 months total per year in our 34' 5er. It is a nice size, king bed, big fridge & all the rest of it, but by the end of October we are ready for the real house again for the winter.
As pointed out in vacation mode it is easy to burn through lots of money. We average $125-$150 per DAY door to door. That pays for all daily expenses including, sometimes, airfare from & back to the door in Bermuda. Some can do it for less. Others do it for much more. We stay out of restaurants. Saves a bunch.
