Having lived in FL before, there are no income taxes and sales tax is low compared to some states but fees are high. Not sure if it still exists, but 20 years ago there was a tax on "intangibles" that applied to investments outside of retirement accounts.
If you ever have a FL license plate and then gap it, keep it because at least once upon a time, proving you registered a vehicle before in the state waived the impact fee.
