"In my situation with three kids would any of you consider a class A? "
Yes, we did, with 4 kids, and bought one new 13 years ago and STILL like it better than any other floorplan, A or C, we've seen since. (OK...there was this 45' Prevost that I really liked...but 7 figures is a bit much! LOL) Anyway, it works very well for us.
The extra weight carrying capacity, storage space, holding tank capacity and view out the windows for the passengers is well worth it. The "C's" we were looking at could carry the weight we needed it to carry. There are more options now with the gas chassis "Super C's", but we've seen just about all of them and we'd still opt for our A.
I'm just saying, don't rule anything out. We originally ruled out the "A's" until we looked into the issue more closely. With the advice of several on this forum who also had an "A" with a family, we realized the stereo-type "C's for families, A's for couples" isn't necessarily true.
By the way, there are many A's out there now with bunks mid-ship and some newer ones with pull-down bunks over the driver & passenger seats. So again, depending upon your price range and desired floorplan, you shouldn't rule out anything yet.
Good Luck in your search,
