I found an R-Pod 2011for what I think is a great price, $7,500. I looked at it yesterday and it looks great. The owner even replaced the mattress with a new memory-foam one that still has plastic on it (said that one that came in it was awful).I was really considering a Scamp or Cansita,but form what I have read an R-pod is a great TT with few problems although they are not molded fiberglass. The Scamp I found was an 1992 and same price. I'm a TT newbie so any input about the R-pod would be welcomed. Here is the add for the R-PodSLEEPS 4/. I just did a very quick Google search on R-pods, looks like a 2011 model is running about $12,000 from a dealer. RV Guide lists that at $15,000. And yet another web site (dealer) has this: MSRP: $17,433 Sale Price: $12,915, all for the same one.I think you've got a good price going on there ... SHHH! Don't tell the seller what they "could" get out of it. Offer $100 less and get it!

Back when we were downsizing from a triple bunk bed family trailer to a couple's trailer I tried my darndest to get my wife to consider an rPod ... any rPod ... but no way would she agree to something that small with a bed we couldn't walk around and with such a tiny wet bath. I have to admit that from her perspective I could see her point and had to agree it was likely much more suitable for a single adult wanting to travel lightly. That said, I toured both non-slide models such as the 171, comparing them to slide versions, and found that even though the slides themselves were quite small they still really opened up the interior of what was a really small trailer. To each his / her own but I'd be awfully sure I could live in such a restrictive space before committing to any rPod model.

My friend has a 2014 179 R pod with the slide out. They love it.

the small Rpods I looked at had a very tiny almost unusable bathroom sink and absolutely no clothes hang up provision.bumpy

The rPod does not have a rubber roof, rather the front fiberglass wall curves up to form the roof and curves down at the rear to form the back - all one piece.

when I was looking at Rpods a couple of years newer than 2011 I thought they had a fiberglass roof. If I would have discovered that they had rubber, that would have ended my interest in them.

Sounds good but be sure to check ceiling/wall interior junctions. Looks for any evidence of leaks/water stains etc. Most likely has rubber roof which requires vigilant caulking to prevent water intrusion. Good luck!

Better jump on the deal before someone else does they dont come around that often and when they do you better be ready. Go get it and enjoy the new trailer.
