I agree Dtaylor, It could be a PIA, but we just kept a tabbed note book of the show we were at and in another book we tallied what we sold from the inventory. As far as tax license, we just use our SS# on our set up form. Not sure about other states but we have always gotten along selling under the promoters City peddlers license and we are housed in one area. This of course is assuming that they are selling at Craft fairs and other similar venues where there are more than one booth or site. We can usually get the necessary form for sending in our taxes from a show if we choose to do it just after closing the show and taking away the stress of doing it at the end of the year. I have to admit, I'm jealous of the OP. This is what we were intending to do until life happened and I got sick and has put an end to that idea.
