I just purchased a small wheeled tote to transport grey water to dump station. When I remove the large cap, my current sewer adapter fits into the tote. When full, I reattach the cap. So far at the dump station, I dropped the handle, turn tote on its belly over dump, and open vent and spigot. It takes a few minutes to empty that way. If I grow impatient enough or encounter dump stations with lines, I might try to fit a larger hose for dumping.Currently about $25 at Walmart.com, this is an inexpensive way to extend our time between dumps. A bigger, purpose designed waste tote would cost more, plus we might need to buy a hitch for our car. I'll probably spring for a better in the future when we better know our needs.

don't use it for black if you think theres a chance you might misjudge how full it is.

Judging by the picture, and your description, I don't get how water can flow downhill and fill this up.

I have a 27 gallon tote. I use it three or four times per year at most.27 gallons means four trips to the dump station when my TT tanks are full.An 8 gallon tote would mean at least 10 trips.Unfortunately we have one of those TT where putting in the slides and going to the dump station means moving around the furniture, pulling up the manual/ electric stabilizers and blocks. At least an hour of work. I can make four trips to the dump station 30-45 minutes. The sad part is that we usually have to use the tote at the COE park closest to our children/ grandchildren. The rest of the year, we are usually moving from place to place often enough I don't need the tote.Now as far as expense. i paid $25 for my 15 gallon Barker tote tank, off of Craig's List.NEVER use it for black water, only gray water.never needed it for dumping black water.

Easy. :B

Instead of a Hydroller I use a set of 7 gal Aquatainers labeled for the purpose. Capacity is limited only by the number of 'Tainers. Works like a charm. :)

THIS part about filling I don't get. Your sewer pipe must be much higher than mine.

While I await your answer I'll be entertained by everyone's tote stories.

I just wait until dark, connect a hose to the drain pipe and drain the grey water. I'm not convinced grey water is a big environmental concern. And we easily get 2 weeks on our BW tank.

I bought a 15 gallon tote once. I used it one time at home, then I realized that nearly every campground we go to does not have a dump station, so taking it along was an exercise in futility.
It laid under the workbench out in the shop for about 5 years, then one summer I dusted it off and sold it in a rummage sale.
My advice: Make very sure there is a place to dump it before you fill it!
